Today I logged into my plesk server which offcourse runs asl and I see a warning. Autofs detected.
How could this self activate since I havent altered anything on the server in some time now ...
The only 2 things running periodically is yum and asl updates ... Nothing else ...

Should and how do you shut this function off ?

Just run: asl -s -f

It might have been re-enabled by an update installed on your system, check your yum logs to see if you or someone may have installed something.
