Disable mysqld autostart after stop

Ive a big problem with mysqld, i run myisamchk -r to repair crashed table. Before i stop mysqld.
For some reason while running myisamchk mysqld autmatic start

Result more crashed tables.
Ive search in crontab, cant find any clue why or how mysqld autostart. I run plesk 10.4.

How can i diasble this unwanted mysqld auto start?

I guess you have psmon installed? Check /etc/psmon.conf. Running 'asl -s -f' will regenerate /etc/psmon.conf though.

But I think I have a better suggestion: use mysqlcheck --repair/--auto-repair (or just use the SQL REPAIR command). AFAIK there is no need to stop mysqld in those cases.

There is (or was) a cron task that starts psmon if it is not running. If you find and disable that (probably in cron.d), and then "service psmon stop" then that should kill off psmon and stop mysql starting (if breun's suggestion doesn't work for some reason).

/etc/cron.d/psmon starts psmon every 15 minutes by default.
