I see there is an updated version of spamdyke with support for mysql. I have already compiled my own version of spamdyke with mysql support with instructions from haggybear.de. Is this based on the same source and should I count on compatibility?

What kernel are you using? Is this 32 or 64 bit?

I installed it manually a few weeks ago and had not to chpax anything to make this version going.
so there must be a better way.

exactly, I had the same experience. I suspect its only 32-bit related. If that is indeed the case, I'll just drop the 32-bit packages from the repo.
