I haven't encountered it yet, but there seems to be a new Apache DoS tool: http://isc.sans.org/diary.html?storyid=6601

Any recommendations? Will mod_evasive in ASL take care of this?

Scott just let me know that ASL (using mod_security and mod_evasive) will take care of this.

Although ASL already protected against this, we've added in rules to specifically tell you if you are being attacked by this tool (as opposed to the general alert of a DOS attack previously).
