We're working on the enterprise version of ASL, which we will be calling Tortix. This will give you a single console that you can use to control all your ASL, and ASW systems. Heres a screenshot of the new enterprise event manager screen:

http://www.atomicrocketturtle.com/tortix1.png

You'll notice that there is a new column "agent" thats the source of the alert. ASL and ASW systems will be able to report to a central system (it can also handle multiple "central" systems too), which will also be able to manage all ASL and ASW systems. This is a key element of our current product development roadmap, the ability to centrally control nodes (iof you want). We will also still be working on and improving the stand alone GUIs, so don't worry about that if you are a hosting company - ASL and the soon to come ASW won't be going away or anything. We're just making it possible for our customers to manage multiple systems from a single console if they want, or if you like the current model (each box has its own GUI) you can do that too.

We hope to have this completed in the first quarter of next year. It will be fully compatible with ASL (and the soon to come ASW), you simply tell Torix where all your current boxes are and it will manage them just like you currently can - and so much more! Tortix is also being built to allow you to remotely install ASL and ASW on your systems, so from one screen, you can secure all your boxes!

Let us know what you think!

That sounds great. I only have one server but I'm excited and looking forward to the new ASL 3 that you have mentioned in another post.
It looks like you will implement a firewall replacement for afp or plesk-firewall in ASL 3?
If I were running multiple machines this would have been on my wishlist since it's a timesaver and it's always great to have one main console to track security globally.

Looking forward to all the new goodies
Thanks for constantly improving and developing to keep our systems secure.

Yup, theres a firewall front end in there now, and a lot of other non-enterprisey updates that would be useful for a single server system. Like:

* execlog group, dropping users into this group will log all their execve() activity to syslog.
* trusted group, the TPE policy now can be inverted.
* socket group, users in this group cannot act as clients or servers
* client group, users can only act as clients
* server group, users can only act as servers

Control over all the grsec functions are now configurable from ASL Web. There will also be a rule manager for HIDS and WAF rulesets to set things like active response, alert level, etc.

Any hope of support for the (limited) grsec TPE functionality in OpenVZ/Virtuozzo?

Thats a bigger project that we're waiting on the grsec project to update us on. The good news is that openvz is supporting 2.6.32.x kernels now, which was a show stopper before.

Heh, speak of the devil:

Untested, 0-day, alpha, probably wont compile. But its progress!

Cool. I don't know how this will work with Virtuozzo even though they use the same kernels. The Virtuozzo releases are all currently based on the 2.6.18 branch.

Virtuozzo 4.6 will be out soon-ish though - maybe they will switch to the 2.6.32 branch at that point.

The idea would be to replace the regular virtuozzo boxes kernel with this one. Its using the 2.6.32 branch from openvz.

As long as the virtuozzo tools work with it then seriously cool.

Its using the parallels kernel patch (which dropped the grsec TPE support incidentally) for the 2.6.32 kernel. There will definitely be a mountain of grsec features that you wont be able to access from the virtuozzo panel (not on purpose, we just dont have access to the source code for their interface :P). We're still working out the details on that from the ASL Web side.

It will definitely be $199 per agent, but we're not sure about the server piece yet.
