Can you tell me if this is a known bug that the /etc/hosts.deny is never purged it just grows and grows.

I have patched it by adding in /etc/cron.hourly/denyhost

# Clear out hosts.deny
/bin/sed -i '/ALL:/d' /etc/hosts.deny
#

I think I did report it but there has been more builds and its still the same.

That part of the system hasnt changed at all from 2.2 to 3.0, so if this is happening to you now it wouldn't because of anything in 3.0. Can you confirm that this occurs with 2.2?

Hi Scott,

Just happening with 3.0 on a i386 and a x64 Centos 5.6 server. One has plesk the other nothing. The plesk server takes a lot of traffic and the hosts.deny gets long.

I only found this as I got shunned out on a vlc remote to an internal machine. It ended up shunning off my internal LAN server.
