Hi, I'm a newbie to ASL and so far most of the installation seems to be working fine on my Centos 64X using WHM and Cpanel.

However, I can't seem to get the kernel and DoS protection to enable - any ideas?

Thank you for the question. To enable kernel protection you just need to boot into the ASL kernel. Do you know if you have that installed? If you are not sure, see this:

The kernel will be automatically installed when you install ASL (if you have a kernel, if you do not, then it won't - VPS' for example do not have their own kernels, so you will need to ask your host to install ASL as well as VPS' share the hosts kernel). If by some change you told the installer not to install the ASL kernel, just follow this process to install it:

Regarding DOS protection, are you using cpanel by any chance?

Yes I have a dedicated server using Cpanel - is that a problem for DoS protection?

As for the kernel it seems that I have to check that that is installed then reboot - thanks.
