I'm hoping an Apache update might fix my issue with child processes not dying, but it's a production box, and I can't play around with it too much (like installing from source).

I know Apache 2.2x will not be released for the older operating systems, but perhaps an update to the 2.0.x release is feasible.

I also read in another post about RHEL3 dev being subscription soon, will this include base package updates like Apache?

Thanks,

Jordan

Thanks Breun,

So I should see updated version of Apache (if they are security fixes) in the default up2date repositories at some point before 2010 based on their statement to support it until then, I'm assuming.

I'm also assuming by your suggestion that Apache is not compiled with any particular flags for Plesk, since it is entirely modular at the 2.0 stage, so any RHEL3 compatible RPM will work?

Thanks again,

Jordan

That's correct.
