We had a minor earthquake (magnitude 5.9 currently) hit the area just a little while ago:

No damage to us or affects to infrastructure or communications at this point. Power, Internet and Phones are working. Cell phone service though is either out or just overwhelmed (more likely the later, we just don't get earthquakes in DC).

So, in case anyone is watching the news, it was just an interesting day and all is well. Well, except the cell phones, which I imagine if they aren't down are just really overloaded - as would be expected when a lot of people get excited and suddenly all need to make a phone call at the same time. :-)
