Up now in the asl-3.0-testing channel, this kernel supports the Vmware paravirt scsi driver on el4, el5 and el6 systems. In addition, OpenVZ support has been added to the el6 kernels in preparation for the LVE patch.

It does not appear possible to support OpenVZ on EL5 systems due to some architecture changes. So LVE will not be available for Cloudlinux 5 systems.

Things to test:
1) Performance of the vmware paravirt scsi driver
2) Provisioning openvz/virtuozzo images as new installs
3) Upgrading on existing openvz or virtuozzo systems
4) Overall performance on non-openvz systems

To install the testing kernel, run this command as root:

yum --enablerepo=asl-3.0-testing upgrade kernel

If your system won't let you do this, please see this wiki article:

https://www.atomicorp.com/wiki/index.php/Kernel

It means someone has configured your system to not allow you to install or upgrade your kernel - LART them, LART them hard!

The latest version is available now, 2.6.32.48-10. This version adds support for building vmware-tools natively in el6 environments. Unfortunately it will not be possible to build vmware-tools natively in el4 or el5 due to major compiler & library updates required. So for those systems you'll still only be able to use open-vm-tools.
