We are still on target for a Beta release next quarter, with the final release scheduled for a Q4 2011 release.

We've had questions as to what Windows platforms will be supported. Windows 2008 and 2003 will be supported.

So I guess this will be also functional with Plesk for windows ? Possibly enkompass of cpanel ?

And another question. I have noticed clamav is slow. So If I want to run my own antivirus on windows instead of clamav such as nod32 will there be an issue ?

If a beta testing version comes out I would be happy to give it a try.

Plesk is first, and encompass is second. That order may change as we are in the middle of working in the modsec elements now.

There should not be an issue with this.

Great, we'll post in this forum when the first test builds are ready.

do you have any update on the status of this project?
If not, what piece are you stuck on? Could you release this in phases - such as having mod_sec integration, centralized ossec and logging, security scans, etc in modules that are released at different times in a "beta" type program?

OSSECs server components do not work on Windows, so we have been working on Windows ports of those components.

This still happening?

Also consider WebsitePanel, it's becoming quite popular :)

Anyway would like to know if this project is dead or ongoing. Thanks

End of this quarter. We're paranoid security guys, we don't like to rush things especially when the key delay is a lack of security features on the platform (Windows) that makes much less secure (but still very secure) than it is under Linux. Which has required us to invent things that Windows doesnt have to make it less susceptible to compromise. Hurray! :-)
