I have a VPS running with:
Centos-5-x86
PHP 5.3.3

I've tried to install php-mcrypt using:
wget -q -O - http://www.atomicrocketturtle.com/installers/atomic |sh
yum install php-mcrypt

I get the following errors:

 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
 You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
                        package-cleanup --dupes
                        rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.


Can anyone help me on this?

i use plesk 10.4.4
i have the same problem

when i try the KB http://kb.parallels.com/en/111630 in step 3 for updating yum i got this errors:

same problem here.. also found a similar issue on stackoverflow:

I've got somebody telling me to:

yum erase mysql-libs 

Then reinstall mysql-libs from the art repo, but I fear a long night with a messed up mysql install if it goes sideways.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this ?

I had a similar problem, but just removed all entries from /etc/yum.repos.d *except* atomic, got it installed, then added all entries back to /etc/yum.repos.d

Yuck. So it is yum repo/priority/general confusion that's causing it? Thanks for finding this solution.
